About Us

Richard Holmes  the founder and main designer started making furniture at a young age. He learned about quality craftmenship and manufacting while working at a boutique furniture brand in Rhinebeck, NY. He then started a career in the custom stereo installation industry where he installed stero systems in many of the newst NYC luxury rental and condominium buildings. He also installed home automation systems in many private residences throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn.

aWall designs and manufactures a family of products you won’t find any where else. Our wall hung and floor standing media storage models are hand crafted pieces of furniture built to last a lifetime. Our artistic speakers are the perfect blend of personal design and sound.

Our ideas were conceptualized after seeing countless homes try to conceal their home audio equipment but never accomplishing it perfectly. The aWall cabinet was Richards first concept and he quickly realized the idea was cutting edge when comparing it to traditional media storage. Hiding everything and taking up no floor space was extremely important to the intial design. After countless hours of changes in size, internal modifications, finishes and more he finalized two main aWall types. This lead to new inspiration to create a floor standing model that still remained very sleek. Our aDenza takes a design element from the aWall keeping it very minimalistic with no exposed hardware and perfectly matching wood grains. The aFrame our latest concept appeals both visually and acoustically by hiding a bluetooth speaker system inside a traditonal frame.
